Summary: A young man’s inspirational description of his life as a paraplegic man. He broke his neck when he jumped into the sea abroad after his A levels. This inspirational story is now a West End musical, it’s author is a public speaker and artist.

Age recommendation and challenging content: There are photographs of him before and after his accident.

Notable reasons for recommending this book: The concept of the little big things is a dynamic way to look at standards with young people, our year 11 talk about the importance of habits or ‘the little big things’ as they move towards their GCSEs.

Other information for teachers: Henry Fraser has an Instagram page and this has helped us in building a connection to the author’s real life experience.
