Summary: Set in Alaska it is the story of 4 teenagers entwined lives, it’s lyrical and beautiful story telling of how they all cope with their own hardships and lives.

Age recommendation and challenging content: Teenage pregnancy, no graphic content, I would recommend for Year 9 and above.

Notable reasons for recommending this book: Shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal, it’s beautifully written and is diverse with cultural value as you learn about the lives of the indigenous people of Alaska and their values.
